Pringle Of Scotland Pre Fall 2012 Cant Say We

PRINGLE OF SCOTLAND: PRE-FALL 2012

Can’t say we look forward to the on set of winter. As the days grow shorter, and the nights creep up on us. Hallelujah! Pre-fall 2012, has suddenly become a less ominous prospect. The good people of Pringle have given us a reason to get up in the morning. Alistair Carr’s third collection presented fresh interpretations of iconic PRINGLE elements, without ramming the message of ‘heritage’ down our throats. A stand out application was the amplified use of argyle, which took the form of large crystals sewn on one sweater, and played across a handful of other looks in more subdued forms. Layering is always key in this between season (especially in LONDON), and this appeared in all 26 looks. From the more obvious polo necks peeking out from collars, to shift dresses whose sheer cut outs, revealed accenting shifts beneath. Even the shoes (a collaboration between Carr and Chrissie Morris) featured removable leather panels. Distinctly urban, these garms will arm you for the on set of S-A-D. With jolts of orange, coral, and azure guaranteed to lead you boldly into the bleakest of seasons.
