Admission: I don’t read as much as I should. By which I mean: very very rarely. Probably shouldn’t admit this but hey, I’m all about being transparent. That said, I will (actually) be reading Paul Flynn’s brill new book Good As You: From Prejudice to Pride – 30 Years of Gay Britain, out yesterday. Gays are my area of expertise. Good As You explores Britain’s slow acceptance of gay life and all that has changed and shaped the gay world in our lovely home country through interviews with some majors including – Kylie, Russell T. Davies, and friend of 10/stylist superstar Julian Ganio, who’s quoted as saying: “because gays are fab.” At Ten Towers 4/7 staff members are of the gay male variety so we say: AMEN. Having been at the launch party last night it was lovely seeing fags and fruit flies of all ages and walks of life coming together to celebrate a very important and exciting book, it made my big gay heart grow a few sizes!
