An enjoyable translucency to No.21’s latest – delicate chiffon dresses revealed sequin slips beneath, or pretty floral lace. Which naturally felt quite girly. But not in a saccharine, sickly type of way. Because there’s something effortless about the No.21 girl – she doesn’t worry about getting dressed up to the nines, just throws on a couple of glam bits with an anorak or a baggy cardigan.
It’s a nice assurance that those pretty gowns can (and we’re sure will) be worn IRL. Touches of marabou added a whiff of sexiness to proceedings, so too the slices of black leather and leopard print, while late shots of lipstick red and electric blue lent an energy to the closing looks.
