For Nina Ricci SS25, Harris Reed synchronised his modern take on femininity with the brand’s signature tailoring. His fourth season at the house, he found his point of departure in Brigitte Bardot’s jet-set-style, whilst channelling a power wardrobe poised for both night and day.
Amplifying intentional travel-wear and eveningwear pieces, the offering was filled to the brim with tailored silhouettes, such as the Ricci’s signature Crocus suit, juxtaposed with more sultry styles. Each look incorporated a monochromatic palette dipped in sorbet yellows, pinks, mint and chocolate browns, with models donning slouchy leather sets, chiffon drapes, and jersey or satin dresses.
Boned bodysuits in different variations sauntered down the runway. Bunched-up halter-neck dress came in amethyst and polka-dot. Sheer maxi dresses and romantic lace gowns were simple yet sophisticated. Draped, open-back jackets and wide-brimmed hats truly tapped into that iconic Bardot style.
Pairing timeless, seductive drama-filled pieces with Parisienne silk pumps and chunky, megawatt costume jewellery, looks would be just as at home at a jazz club in the heart of London as any top-rated restaurant in the City of Love.
