Cartier presents Beautés du Monde

The pinnacle luxury haven of gemstones and precious metals, Cartier, has just launched a high jewellery collection and we’re drooling over it. Recognizing the beauty of the world wherever it may be, the collection, dubbed Beautés du Monde, illustrates Cartier’s ability to both admire and enhance beauty through design specificities such as tension of lines, geometry, abstraction and the interplay of stone. Akin to sculpture, the fine jewellery on offer amplifies the elements of nature with unique blossoming roses and glistening oceanic pieces. What’s more, Cartier has created an additional three-set jewellry edit that, in keeping with the Cartier tradition of modular pieces, boasts a necklace that can be transformed into two bracelets or a choker, a series of earrings and more. Adidas x Gucci hosts a series of pop-ups

From a mutual fixation on stripes, Gucci has tapped into Adidas and the result is an unconventional streetwear edit worth splurging on. But with the brand new series of ephemeral pop-ups to celebrate the crossover that Adidas x Gucci has just announced – there’s no doubt it’ll be an edit you have to scramble to get your hands on.

Gucci’s unconventional approach to luxury fashion is discernible in the kaleidoscopic retro aesthetics while Adidas sports-inspired savoir-faire shines through. Including Gucci’s own take on the famous Adidas Gazelle sneaker, the collection on offer was anticipated by the first Adidas x Gucci lookbook.

Presently on debut at Selfridges flagship store in London, the space – while defined by a perimeter of illuminated pointed arches juxtaposed with vintage-inspired furniture – is dedicated and immersive, providing a captivating shopping experience. Get moving!

Balenciaga celebrates Pride in 2022

Pride month is upon us and according to Balenciaga, anybody is queer. But what does that mean, really? Its message is one of diversity and inclusivity, proving that there is not a typical look for someone who falls into the categories of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, or queer. Through a series of photos and videos lensed by Patrick Welde, a diverse cast decked out in skin-tight tops, baggy hoodies, graphic tees, caps, scarves, socks and graphic jewellery inspired by gendered symbols made manifest by a skirt and pants – all of which of course suit Balenciaga’s quintessential silhouette.

While in some places a chart of international inclusivity flags are featured, there are also exclusive iterations of the Pool Slide, the Track Sneaker and some gym shorts. Each has rainbow colour accents which function as a visual aid to Balenciaga’s history of promoting LGBTQIA+ visibility and acceptance. Plus, 15% of profits from the offering will be donated to Outright Action International, a critical LGBTQIA+ advocate organisation — the only of its kind with consultative status and a permanent presence at the United Nations Headquarters.

To celebrate Pride 2022, Balenciaga Pride 22 is now available at balenciaga.com and in stores around the world. To read more about OutRight Action International click here

Browns Focus is back for Series Two

We all know that sequels tend to outshine the original, and the revival of Browns Focus for Series Two is by no means an exception. Initially set in motion in 97’, Browns Focus was an incubator for new talent around the world, championing now-acclaimed labels such as Christopher Kane, Simone Rocha and Hussein Chalayan. Last year the initiative was reborn, but this season the edifying programme supports emerging, innovative BIPOC creatives.

What’s more, cemented through upfront payments for young talent, mentorship schemes and ongoing partnerships with the BFC, the project celebrates and supports the values and ambitions of R.O.T.A (Representation On The Agenda) via a pragmatic partnership with HOME, a multifunctional creative space by Ronan Mckenzie. Browns Focus is available online at brownsfashion.com and instore at Browns East. Dior presents Print High Jewellery

Dior Print High Jewellery has landed and it’s all the eccentric opulence we could ever want and more. At 137 virtuoso pieces strong, the couture-inspired collection is just as dazzling as it is unexpected. Playing with pink, violet and blue sapphires, white and yellow diamonds, mauve amethysts, spinels, rubies and cushion-cut gems, there’s a whole host of accessories on offer from rings, earring, gold-braided and ribbon necklaces, to cufflinks and even an eye-catching secret watch.

Having long wished to “draw prints on jewellery,” French jeweller Victoire de Castellane brings the idea to life carrying forward her exploration in Lace for Dior Dior Dior in 2018, textile dye effects in Tie & Dior in 2020 and braids in Galons Dior in January 2022. Transposing two-dimensional liberty prints, checks, stripes, florals and tie-dye colour gradations onto three-dimensional parures, this whimsical concept suggests a specialised sort of savoir-faire, for gems of character for a collection with an outsized personality.

Flower by Edie Parker partners with Ian Charms

This summer, female owned and operated labels, Flower by Edie Parker and LA-based brand Ian Charms, have uncovered an extraordinary synergy. Both loved by the likes of instrumental tastemakers like Pete Davidson, Kacey Musgraves, Kendall Jenner and the Biebers – to name a few – the cult-favourite brands have joined forces for a playful collection of necklaces that double as smoking pipes.

All in eye-popping colours, the whimsical collection reimagines Edie Parker’s oversized Heart Hitters necklaces, which are essentially ‘pendants for pot’ – we’re talking beads and buds!

With Ian Charm’s signature handmade technicolour beaded chain dressing up the Flower best seller, it’s time to make some hazy summer memories. So if you’re over stateside (in a weed-legal state) you’ll want to cop this trinket before it sells out. Enjoy responsibly – but do it in style with Ian Charms x Flower by Edie Parker.
