The beginning of the end. Well, fashion month that is- Paris being the last city on our fashion world tour for AW18. But this is actually about a new start. So we’ve really just confused you for no reason, but we promise this news will make up for it. Paris wunderkind Simone Porte, designer behind Paris based label Jacquemus, has been teasing us on Instagram with #newjob for the last few weeks. Of course, that had us thinking about who was leaving what house and where would he would be going- the never ending musical chairs that is fashion. But last night after his AW18 show that opened Paris fashion week, all was answered. He came bounding down the runway to take his bow in a hoodie with “le homme Jacquemus” printed across it. Yes that’s right his “new job”, is him expanding his own label and dipping his toes into menswear. Thank god. The man himself is dressed perfectly, so fingers crossed there is a lot of Simone and his own wardrobe in the new collection ’cause we can’t get enough of the man or the clothes. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait till June to get our first look. We’re very impatient.
