Colour makes people feel happy. It’s proven. There’s a name for it: chromotherapy. That was written on the notes for MSGM this afternoon: “a natural method of treatment that uses the properties of coloured light to produce favourable reactions to restore health.” So there was colour. Massimo’s always been good at colour – here, clear primary shades of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. They were written across the opening look, and then found throughout, changing subtly as they moved across textures – holy knits, sequins, tie-dyed ribbing, crumpled PVC. Shapes were oversized – baggy pyjama-like two sets, drop-shouldered trenches, body-dwarfing knits. All very young, for girls who don’t take themselves too seriously. Wear MSGM, feel happy. Easy. Over and out from Milan – see you in Paris.
