A recent trip to Tanzania shaped Massimo Giorgetti’s latest MSGM menswear offering. Uncharted lands illuminated by early morning sunrises and balmy evenings spent exploring the country found their way into the collection. Set inside a cave-like show space, with models carrying torches to illuminate the catwalk, Giorgetti’s boys came wearing slouchy suits with wide shoulders, utility-style shorts, and rustic-looking denim co-ords. Photos of sunsets and crystal-clear oceans Giorgetti took on his iPhone throughout his holibobs appeared on vests, silk shirts and easy-going slacks, as the designer expanded his arsenal to include multi-pocket cargo trousers, buttery leather suits and cowhide loafers. In his show notes, Giorgetti described the collection as an “exploration of different dreamlike experiences and altered states of consciousness” – prepped and primed to dress up a get-away of yours in the not-so-distant future.
