Moncler Launches The Moncler Genius Design Collective

MONCLER GENIUS - DESIGNERS PORTRAIT

In a move that both Marvel & DC Comics are surely wishing they had come up with first, Remo Ruffini, CEO of Moncler, has forged a kind of Super Fashion Syndicate that has probably made our day/week/month etc. Uniting under the banner of peerless creativity, Ruffini has invited the likes of Pierpaolo Piccioli, Karl Templer, Craig Green, Sandro Mandrino, Simone Rocha, Kei Ninomiya and Francesco Ragazzi to operate under the label of Moncler Genius, where, instead of syncing collections with seasons, they are released monthly from a different Genius.

And like any conglomerate of heroes worth their salt, the above names have all been assigned specific roles in accordance with their strength/special powers. Valentino’s creative director Piccioli will design Line 1, while Line 2 AKA Moncler 1952, will fall to super-stylist Karl Templer. Moncler’s technical ski-wear line will now be fronted by Sandro Mandrino, while Simone Rocha, Craig Green, Kei Ninomiya of Noir Kei Ninomiya and Hiroji Fujiwara of Fragment will design Lines, 4, 5, 6 and 7 respectively. Francesco Ragazzi, founder of Palm Angels, and long standing artistic director at Moncler will design an eighth line. We think we need a lie down after this but there’s no time for snoozing as the wheels of this gigantic operation have already been set in motion with the unveiling of the Moncler Genius Building today. Sounds like a suitable mission control. When’s the movie coming out?
