Miu Miu campaigns always feel a bit like a major motion picture moment (a strong female lead romantic drama, maybe?) and this season the cast of models and actresses is potentially, or let’s go with probably, the best yet – *deep breath* Naomie Harris, Kate Moss, sisters Adwoa and Kesewa Aboah, Missy Rayder, Jean Campbell, Eliza Cumming, Jasmine Daniels, Rose Daniels and Lily Nova. I mean. Shot by Alasdair McLellan in New Orleans, our ladies are wearing what Miu Miu’s AW17 collection – fabulous faux fur fashions. Sexy muppet? Best way possible, obviously.
Release describes it in slightly more eloquent words – “diverse references drawn from a multiplicity of pasts represent splintered images of glamour, brightly colored faux furs and translucent plastics, sheath feathered drop-waist dresses superimposing contemporary shapes and materials onto old-timey sensibilities” And there is nostalgia here, but it still feels modern – what people of the 1920s thought the future would look like? Yah. let’s go with that.
