Miu Miu have released a little teaser for their latest offering in their Women’s Tales project, an ongoing series of short films directed, as the name suggests, by women. This one is episode 12. Yes, 12! Oh, you spoil us Miu Miu. Directed by Crystal Moselle, it follows a 17-year-old skateboarding in NYC and is absolutely dripping with teen angst. Rachelle, our skater lady, treads the line of her self discovery and her triumph over casual, macho sexism. Right on. Because everything can change in one day – in the short, our protagonist meets a charismatic group of fearless skater gals, where she finds strength and belonging. In this teaser, get ready to see Rachelle and her new found crew mocking it through the streets in some tasty Miu Miu threads. Not sure we’d risk it in these clothes. Entitled That One Day, Crystal Moselle describes the film: “I am in love with the transformation stage in a girl’s life, when they are not quite a girl but not quite a woman… That One Day renders this moment as a tender daydream.” We can’t bloody wait for this one.
