Miu Miu Sets Up A Fashion Gymnasium Inside Harrods

Miu Miu unveils its latest pop-up experience at Harrods, London, running from April 8 to May 7. Located on the iconic department store’s ground floor, the space marks the European debut of the Miu Miu Gymnasium collection – following previous iterations in Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong and Hangzhou – and offers an elevated, sportswear-inspired take on contemporary luxury.

Drawing from the refined athleticism of 1930s gymnasiums, the concept playfully reimagines the traditional department store through a nostalgic lens. The setting is defined by sporty visual cues – wall bars, ropes, rings and vaulting horses – all crafted from luxurious materials. A slatted wooden floor, inlaid with red, white and blue lines, evokes vintage sports courts, while expansive windows frame the entire installation as a stylised arena of movement and fashion.

At the heart of the pop-up is the Miu Miu Gymnasium collection, an elegant wardrobe lifted straight from the SS25 runway. Hero pieces include technical silk blousons, kid mohair jackets, tailored active knitwear and cotton-silk polos. A distinctly athletic palette – red, white, blue, brown and grey – plays across exaggerated proportions and abbreviated cuts that underscore Miu Miu’s signature style.

Adding a personal touch, the space also debuts the Miu Miu Custom Studio in Europe: an in-store bar station where shoppers can customise bags, shoes and wallets with a curated selection of laces, charms and bespoke tabs. This exclusive service is also available online, allowing customers to craft truly individual statements of style.

Exclusive editions of the brand’s beloved bags – including the Wander, Arcadie, Aventure and Beau – appear in smooth, woven and matelassé leather, alongside sporty canvas options accented with dynamic piping. Special versions in astral blue launch especially for the pop-up. On the footwear front, highlights such as the Plume, Tyre and Gymnasium sneakers, along with the debut Boxeaur silhouette are perfect for a game on the court or a night out on the tiles. It’s all exercise, right?

The Miu Miu Gymnasium is open at Harrods until May 7, 2025.
