Matthew Miller: AW16 Menswear

Matthew Miller loves an arty ref – he’s sprayed his clothes with slogans before and odd, archaic motifs. For his Autumn/Winter 2016 outing, he decided to focus on just one: David With the Head of Goliath by Carravagio. Don’t tell the National Gallery he decided to slice and dice it up into narrow, slickly tailored coats and trailing trenches. The rest of the collection wasn’t printed nor painted, but with MA1 jackets pieces into overcoats and narrow tailoring galore, it was nevertheless artful.
