Backstage Magic At Marc Jacobs Fall 2025

In recent seasons, Marc Jacobs has treated his catwalk collections as an ongoing study of extreme silhouette. In the designer’s hands, clothes balloon into exaggerated proportions, architectural in form, giving the familiar a lashing of theatrical pomp. At New York City Library, the quick-fire show (lasting just over five minutes) played out as a procession of puffball shoulders, swollen cargo trousers and statuesque gothic frocks pulled straight from a Tim Burton flick. At the show, the illustrator Jacky Marshall, known under the moniker Jackyblue, picked up her camera, lensing all the madness backstage. Unfold the poster, feel the fantasy and let yourself be engulfed in the brilliance of all things Marc.
