After bringing you the roundabout location of Louis Vuitton’s Cruise 2019 show last month, today we’re getting a lot more specific, colouring in the grey areas, and honing in on the precise co-ordinates. OK, so we’re still waiting on the co-ordinates, but we do have an address- the Fondation Maeght museum of modern art located in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, about 25km from Nice (just thinking about your sleeping arrangements). We’re told it’s a masterpiece of modern architecture, and based on a quick Google image search we’d hasten to agree. Designed by renowned Catalan architect Josep Lluis Sert as a cornucopia of contemporary art in all its forms, the museum follows in the footsteps of similar cathedrals of culture that have hosted Vuitton’s Cruise collections, including the Bob & Dolores Hope estate in Palm Springs, the Mac Niteroi in Brazil and the Miho Museum in Japan. Fondation Maeght houses a number of exquisite works, a collection that is set to be expanded upon come the 28th May when Ghesquiére’s creations take centre stage. Bring a towel and some trunks though, it looks as though there’s a pool attached.
