Okay, so I don’t wanna use the word muse, but there is a good chance a photo of me was stuck on Lou Dalton’s mood board for SS18, mostly because, no word of a lie, the exact blue and yellow striped top I am wearing today was also presented as part of her new collection. And to be honest, stripes were a bit of a theme – from rainbow and rugby striped jumpers with socks to match, made up of prints by illustrator John Booth. Bright knits were paired with roomy shorts and shirts, Lou called this her core wardrobe.
I want to say that the presentation itself felt a bit like “how much is that doggy in the window” but if doggy was actually male model – being as it was a gathering of cool boys in a shop window, hanging out. Was tempted to climb in the window myself to see if anyone noticed. But I didn’t. Nobody wants to see that. So anyway – the take away of this ramble is this: Lou Dalton knows what men want to wear and what men are wearing right now. Literally.
