Felipe Oliveira Baptista’s Lacoste isn’t just about tennis. Take his spring 2016 collection – inspired by a ballet of flags, of all things. What that translates to on the catwalk was floaty layers, straps, fluttering bits and peppy, preppy, poppy prints. Not of poppies, but of nationalist graphics – including lots of stars and stripes, obvi, for a NYFW show. Love a bit of flying the flag.
