A duvet day is hands down one of the simplest pleasures in life. Whether you’re recovering from an extreme hangover or just due a Netflix binge, everyone needs to indulge every once in a while. And as the weather gets progressively colder the cravings are creeping in fast. So when we heard about the latest Katharine Hamnett collaboration the team at Ten got pretty excited. The environmentally-minded, radical designer has teamed up with Duvetica to produce a fully-sustainable five piece capsule collection of oversized outwear.
They’re perhaps the coolest walking sleeping bags ever. Quite literally – each coat is filled with 100% recycled goose down, taken from discarded duvets. In jet black and parka-khaki green, the yarn of the fabric shells of the unisex puffers are fabricated from post-consumer plastic bottles (recycled mechanically rather than chemically) woven together in Italy. The word “LOVE” is emblazoned across the back in bold lettering, harking back to Hamnett’s pioneering provocatively political slogan tees and denotes her unwavering love of the planet. Oh and the double-ended zip goes right up to the top if you fancy catching a cheeky couple of Zs on the way to work. Conscious, cosy and cool, it’s basically everything you’d want from your next winter coat.
