The last menswear collection that John Galliano designed was back in 2011 for his namesake label. Now, 7 years later, and at a different design house- Maison Margiela, where he has been creative director of the womenswear collections since 2014, things are changing. This Friday, 19th January, for Autumn/ Winter 2018, the first Maison Margiela menswear collection designed by John Galliano will walk the runway. Known for his extreme theatrics and penchant for femme looks for the boys, we are very excited to see how the design master mixes his own aesthetic with the hitherto quite minimal quality of Margiela Menswear. “This collection will offer an elevated and powerful new foundation for menswear, strongly positioned within the luxury arena.” predicts Margiela CEO, Riccardo Bellini.
