Inside 10: Power Couple Jack Sunnucks And Juan Palacio Join Ten Men At Home

Kick back, relax, pour a cup of tea, pull up a cosy armchair and take some well-deserved time to secretly perv over some of our all-time favourite creative minds. Immerse yourself in their paintings, sculptures, ornaments, occasional potted plants and a stack of good books. We do love a bit of memorabilia and paraphernalia. On this sunny Thursday, we pop around to a rather lovely gaff inhabited by creative director of Dazed Club and former member of Ten Towers, Jack Sunnucks, who is joined by his partner, filmmaker Juan Palacio.

What’s your most prized possession?

Jack: “A big wooden sign from LA that’s shaped like a soy sauce bottle.
It sat in our garden there and we’ve now schlepped it to NY and London with us.”

Juan: “I agree on the soy sauce bottle. I would add that it’s the actual sign that was on the outside of a soy sauce factory in Japan. And also that you didn’t like but I insisted we get it and now you love it.”

What dream time would make your home all that more special?

Juan: “I want a hot tub in our back garden; there’s a perfect nook for it nestled between all the plants. I also like that British people find it really scandalous that we would even consider getting a hot tub.”

Jack: “We need a lot of furniture, but on a less practical note, yes, I would like a hot tub, too.”

What’s the key to keeping your humble abode a happy one?

Jack: “Having people over. We’ve lived in lots of different homes and a lot of my happy memories involve a packed house; from roasting chickens in the sun in California to grilling Mexican hot dogs in the rain here.”

Juan: “This is a good answer. I was going to say having a clean house but that’s really boring.
