The sweet Southern sounds of Miley Cyrus moseyed into our ears as we entered the set for House of Holland. Which made sense. As the press notes said, this seasons girl has a “hip hop attitude with a country heart” and she encompasses that, non? And this was every cowgirls dream: cherry print cowboy boots, skirts with dangerously high slits (fringed of course) and denim. So much denim. Boot cut and printed with stars or bleached and flared with ruffles that sashayed with each stride. And to top it all off was a (surprise!) Woody Woodpecker capsule collection (made up of 15 of the looks) with his face printed on jackets, dresses, footwear… you name it. Throw in a hip-hop version of Dolly Parton’s ‘9-5’ and we’re pretty much sold. So nothing left to do save for saddle up and ride off into the sunset. Hey daddy – this isn’t her first time at the rodeo.
