Watched Marty Supreme and now you want to perfect your table tennis skills? Hermès has got you covered. Expanding on its Atelier Horizons collection, a bespoke-focused arm to the house that has previously released ultra-luxe surfboards, skateboards and bicycles, Hermès has served up a compact ping pong table and paddle.
The table, available in a nata white or rouge H colourway, is a glam addition to any sport-loving home. Featuring a birch wood top with a walnut veneer, the base of the table is held in place by two Hunter cowhide straps. An intricately woven silk net is finished with Swift calfskin and secured with a swivel clasp – inspired by the house’s famous Kelly bag. The wooden table, hand-laquered (with over ten coats no less) is also home to a thin drawer, perfect for easy storage of bat and balls. If you’re going to master the art of ping pong, you may as well do it properly, right?
Also available are chic paddles that sport a fun, geometric pattern, fitted with a handle crafted in leather mille-feuille for a comfy grip. A titanium plate is embedded into the leather, thoughtfully engraved with the Hermès Sport Paris signature from the ‘30s. For when it is time to pack away, there’s a bat-shaped leather pouch with a strap for slinging over your shoulder. Even if you have no idea, you’ll still have all the gear. Marty eat your heart out.
