It’s pretty hard not to be bogged down in the dumps these days. January flew by in a blink, Omicron is still rife across the globe and it seems by the day another lockdown party at Number 10 gets leaked. But pick your head up, young one. It’s only 55 days till the clocks go forward, and just a smudge longer till a sunkissed season of festivals go ahead.
It’s set to be the first proper summer – permitting there are no new variants – since the pandemic began. And with that comes the demand for some fresh clobber. Luckily the lads over at Palace are beginning to drop pieces from their SS22 collection from this Friday onwards. There’s loads on offer, like jeans with the perfect amount of slouch, woollen polo shirts and graphic knits plastered in strawberries and Ying Yang symbols. The cutesy cartoon duck which has become a mascot for the brand in recent years now comes carrying a bomb, waddling across hoodies and proper good flight jackets in chocolate brown.
Add in collabs with Vans and Brixton Baddest skate shop, a set of pool balls and a ceramic dog bowl (because, why not?) and you’re equipped for a breezy few months. Get the pints in, it’s gonna be good’un.
