Gucci Reveal Collaboration With MLB For Their Men’s 2018 Pre Fall

In times such as these, when the fashion juggernaut seems at its most unstoppable, reducing one to a sorry, quivering mess, we don’t even have the energy to pretend that we know Dario Argento’s work, the man who inspired the locations in which Gucci’s latest Men’s Pre Fall collection were shot. Call us philistines – it wouldn’t be the first time. As it happens, Dario is an Italian filmmaker, well schooled in the art of horror and suspense, whose work is much loved by Alessandro Michele. If the Look Book set ups look familiar, you may well have seen them before in his films ‘Inferno’ and ‘L’Uccello Dalle Piume di Cristallo’. We’re told they’re classics.

Providing somewhat of a contrast to all that, is Gucci’s shiny new collaboration with MLB, which we’ve always thought stood for My Loser Brother, but turns out it’s something to do with sport- from what we can make out, it’s a baseball competition that describes itself as ‘Major’- bit cocky if you ask us- but who cares, because they’ve teamed up with Gucci to produce some proper lovely caps that feature heavily for Pre-Fall. So lovely in fact, that one might be tempted to forgive them all that silly running about and stick waggling- a key benefit of having Gucci on your team.
