Gosha Rubchinskiy To Show His Next Collection In Russia

Prepare to imbibe a large bottle of vodka and clothe your body in some sort of animal fur-based outfit, we’re off to Russia. Well, Gosha Rubchinskiy is, dragging, no doubt, the entire fash world with him as he announced yesterday that he will be returning to his homeland to show his latest collection this January. But we won’t be pumping across the Red Square in Moscow, no, Mr Rubchinskiy has instead selected the lesser known town of Kaliningrad in the Russian province of the same name to provide the backdrop for his AW17 collection. And, if we’re talking metaphors, Kaliningrad seems a pretty good one for Gosha’s aesthetic – nestled on the Baltic between Poland and Lithuania, it has, at various points, been owned by Germany, the USSR and Russia, its culture precariously balanced between east and west. The show will mark Gosha’s second season away from Paris, showing his last collection as part of Pitti Uomo in Florence. He last showed in Russia in 2009, when he presented his debut trilogy collection across Moscow’s sports halls and churches. For now, that’s just about all we know – everything else is being kept squarely under wraps by the brand. But, just so we’re prepared – how do you say “I’ll take everything” in Russian?
