Plucked straight off the runway from McGirr’s highly anticipated debut at McQueen, the Hoof Boots were a stomping success at his autumn/winter 2024 show in Paris. Perfectly paired with a full faux fur coat or lace mini dress veiled in a sheer overlay, this new McQueen is naughtier than ever. A provocateur by nature, the McQueen maison almost requires its creatives to explore darker depths and thankfully, McGirr delivered. Meticulously crafted to mimic the form of hooves, the equine-inspired boots are complete with studded horseshoe detailed on its sole and thin heels. The boots are available in black or brown leather or furry calf hair, with another buckled option featuring a sleek horsehair ponytail at the back.
Lately, it seems as though we are constantly searching for the next uniquely weird piece – see, here – and the Hoof Boots are no exception. We can picture it now: London’s East End fash pack strutting down the street clad in high hooves. You’ll hear them before you see them.
