Put that pedal to the metal, Louis Vuitton has got a brand new shoe and it’s set to speed off the shelves. Called the LV Rush, Nicolas Ghesquière had movement and agility at the top of his mind when drafting it up, and the result is a sleek, sporty low-top sneaker you’ll never want to take off. It’s also available as a sneaker boot that extends above the ankle for extra stability and strength – no wobbly ankles here.
Initially revealed in May of last year on Isola Bella as part of the house’s Cruise 2024 collection, a sleek wave is seen across the body of the shoe, creating a future-feel and linking back to the collection’s overall inspiration: the modern mermaids of Lake Maggiore surrounding Isola Bella. It also features a bold upper in a lush suede fabric with both rubberised and classic calf leather for the body. The lightweight sole is highly flexible for added ease of movement to keep you nimble-footed all day long whether you’re hitting the town, or the trails.
Available in black and white or punctuated with vivid red, the hybrid style draws from vintage boxing boots and exuberant 18th-century rocaille ornamentation, as well as contemporary trail shoes – the perfect blend of glamour, gorpcore and athleticism. Finished with a metallic LV circle motif flourish, the LV Rush is for living life in the fast lane.
