Girls, gays, theys and everyone in-between, it’s not often that we come across a shoe that is so delicious we just want to gobble it up, allow us to introduce you to the Range boot by Balinese-Australian brand, Dirt. Whilst we’re not in the business of peer pressure, you need this shoe, your mum needs this shoe, fuck it, so does your dad.
Comprised of a gorgeously sleek leather upper and a scrumptious, bubbly rubber sole, the Range boot is the perfect example of an elevated classic. Increasingly popular in the early 2000s, the mid-calf heeled boot perfectly encapsulated what it meant to be a chic office girly, running around fetching Pret orders or closing a business deal, the shoe did it all. Aptly named the Range, this boot does it all, plus more. Listening closely to Gen-Z’s cries for more nostalgia-driven fashion, Dirt has blessed us with the boot that provides modern-day comfort, married with Y2K style. Fashion heads will know that Miu Miu launched their own bubbly soles across their 1999/2000 collections, and luckily for us Dirt has perfected this enviable silhouette.
Thankfully, the contemporary idea of beauty is evolving. In keeping with this newfound appreciation for lumps, bumps, and wobbly bits, the Range boot’s rubber sole embodies all of this. While a satisfyingly chunky tread and a comfort driven design don’t typically result in a stylish shoe, Dirt ensures that fashion is truly at the heart of the Range. Available in ostrich embossed, suede, and waxed leather finishes, Dirt takes a simple black leather boot and has us drooling over our phone screens. The waxed leather boot, in an edible cherry red has well and truly melted us and if you too wanted to get in on the action (or perhaps send the link to a partner, parent, or friend in time for Christmas) you can discover the Range and the rest of Dirt’s collection here.
