Dundas: Resort 2018

Molto glamour at Dundas this evening, which was, as the name would suggest, the first runway outing of Peter Dundas (sans forename) as a solo artiste, and was, as you would expect, suitably opulent, decadent etc. etc. No-one quite does blown-out glamour like the Norwegian blonde – and if you can’t serve up a full sheer and lace asymmetric gown with green taffeta underskirt and train at Paris couture week, when on earth can you?

Mr Dundas is right at home. Can’t quite put my finger on it – but I want to say this was 1970s through the filter of the 1980s, sounds dubious but what I mean is this kind of Studio 54 disco moment (belted sequin t-shirts, kaftans and such) meets full-on baby pink stick-her-in-a-ruffle eighties glamour puss. Which is not such a bad thing to channel. Effect here was heightened with liberal usage of supermodel – including the glorious Natasha Poly closing things out in a corset, ruffles and not much else.
