The Dsquared2 boys were in the mood for tropical sun, sea, and sand (wet-look Jamaica T-shirts in juicy shades, might have been a clue). The designers served up a plethora of beach ready look that referenced The Harder They Come, the stylish 1972 Jamaican crime caper with an awesome reggae soundtrack. They clashed tie-dye shirts with madras checks and stripes in sheer layers that looked sun bleached and watery. Add a sarong skirt, board shorts, baggy paint splattered jeans or ‘Jimmy Cliff’ striped flares and you have a laid back look that is ready for anything the ocean or life throws at you.
For the exhibitionists (let’s face it, Dsquared2 girls are not backwards about coming forwards) they proposed see-through plastic skirts – all the better to show off bright purple bikini bottoms. The show rounded off with wet-look sequin dresses with zip-off hems. Short or even shorter? We know which one the sassy miss Dsquared2 prefers.
