DSquared2: AW16 Menswear

#mangapunk – that’s not the title but the hashtag of the Dsquared2 winter show. Meaning you can click on it and see a bajillion multi-angle views of the multiple angles and looks of this show, where Dean and Dan crashed together Japan and old Blighty in a prime example of opposites attracting. The Dsquared2 signatures of leather, denim and graphic prints were the anchors, the collection itself revelling in the contrast of differing worlds, like the juxtaposition of kimono silk with bomber shapes, or a pea coat cut in papery silver nylon like a Japanese cartoon character – or, indeed, a computer game, which could also have inspired the neon flashes of studs and kaboom prints. How sonic.
