That’s What I Like: Dsquared2 and Pepsi Launch a Capsule Collection of Fresh Merch

Dean and Dan Caten kickstarted their 2020 with a grand spectacle of a co-ed show celebrating Dsquared2’s 25th anniversary. And what’s a party without a few bevvies? Launching today across the brand’s online and bricks-and-mortar retail outlets is #D2xPepsi, the debut of Dsquared2’s partnership with Pepsi Max. Coinciding with the release of their SS20 collection, the capsule of Pepsi-labelled goodies embodies the irreverent spirit of extra-ness every Dsquared2 superfan will appreciate in its purest form.

The extensive lineup of pieces in red, white and blue combines the brand’s sport-meets-street aesthetic with the graphic nature of Pepsi’s iconic advertising from the 1980s and 90s. Colliding the logos of the two brands results in a new and recognisable icon – the circle surrounding “Pepsi” turns into a maple leaf in an homage to the Canadian duo’s heritage. The consensus of Ten Towers is that our favourite out of the collection is the white bucket hat with the logo front and central, while we predict Garth Spencer falling for the boxy fanny pack – he’s a fan of those, in case you didn’t know. At the beginning of the year, the cola brand presented their first tagline in two decades: “That’s what I like.” Now we know exactly what they were talking about…
