Consider this, Christopher Kane’s SS17 campaign, as the equivalent to 10 Hail Marys and a dunking in a large pool of Holy Water. It’s not just a campaign, it’s a religious experience. And not just for the obvious reason that it was photographed in Scotland’s Carfin Grotto and thus features lots of Virgin Marys (captured by the wonderful Alasdair McLellan) but also because it contains the clothing of Mr Kane – clothing that has long made us get down on to our knees and pray. Catch sight of us at a CK show and we’re probably speaking in tongues. Here, said clothes are worn by the lovely Jean Campbell who’s giving us a touch of the naughty Catholic schoolgirls. Is that a bit of bum cheek we see?
