CHANEL: ONCE UPON A TIME
For some reason the title of this new Chanel short film, directed by Karl Lagerfeld is bringing back visions of me aged five, dancing around the living room in a cape and plastic tiara, watching Sleeping Beauty, singing along to Once upon a Dream. Not surprisingly this film has little to do with Disney Princesses. Instead, it stars Keira Knightley as a young Coco Chanel, opening her first boutique in Deauville in 1913. There aren’t any musical numbers in it, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear a cape whilst watching it when it premieres on May 8th.
