It’s always Burberry weather. The heritage brand, known for its pioneering approach to outerwear, has just launched its new campaign spotlighting the most recent iterations of its hero pieces. Shot across the drizzly British countryside and against a crisp London backdrop, the roll-out features a star-studded cast of brand ambassadors such as actor Barry Keogan, musician Little Simz, footballers Cole Palmer and Eberechi Eze and national treasure, Olivia Colman. Light and humorous in tone, the familiar settings are rooted in the house’s history and relationship to the outdoors. Each celeb dons a classic Burberry outerwear silhouette, including the trench, harrington, quilt, puffer, parka, aviator and duffle.
Shot through Alastair McLellan’s warm lens, the campaign is accompanied by a series of shorts shot by director duo Jason Sondock and Simon Davis, otherwise known as Rubberband. Beautifully presented, the roll-out makes you look at the Britain’s temperamental weather with a surprisingly fond-filled gaze.
Speaking on the release, Daniel Lee, the brand’s chief creative officer said, “Burberry is about protection, functionality and the outdoors. We are always inspired by our archive and the innovation and creativity of the brand. The campaign promotes the house’s silhouettes: protective and enduring.” Discover more here.
