Brunello Cucinelli: Ready-To-Wear SS24

Brunello Cucinelli’s SS24 collection was all about balance. Instituting an equal number of classic garments with ones more ornate and one-of-a-kind, the Italian designer perfectly toed the line between modernity and timelessness, functionality and glamour. In traditional Cucinelli style, an emphasis on the highest quality was blatant, with clear-cut but relaxed tailoring appearing across blazers, suits and overcoats. This focus on considered effortlessness supported the equilibrium the brand aimed to convey, with a neutral colour palette adding to the versatility of the pieces.

Fabrics were airy, with informal materials like denim and linen elevated by considered cuts and tidy silhouettes. The offering was kept playful with its shaping, with cinched waists and plunged necklines appearing throughout. A healthy spattering of silver gave the collection a fresh and bold undertone. Retaining a detail-orient, pieces were created using advanced embroidery techniques, referencing a bold floral print that popped up throughout. Trousers were edited with a masculine flare, generating boxy, loose-fitting and flared garments that contributed a sense of contemporary opulence.

Accessories were seamless but elevated, with a variety of shapes and sizes on offer to highlight the collection’s multi-dimensionality. Topless baseball caps and square-toed flats reminded onlookers that the Brunello Cucinelli woman is cool but chilled out. Holding firmly onto its king of quiet luxury crown, Brunello Cucinelli’s seasonal offering proves why he had it in the first place.
