Brunello Cucinelli: Ready-To-Wear AW24

Nobody does laid-back luxury quite like Brunello Cucinelli. Using the AW24 season to focus on elevating classic sartorial codes through a wide array of textures and proportions, the Italian brand churned out a series of grey, black and cream looks, fit for effortlessly traversing occasions. Boxy, masculine silhouettes added to the offering’s relaxed air, whilst a spattering of sequins, feathers, satins and tassels evoked a feel of understated, night-ready glamour. Formal outerwear shapes were updated using rich fabrics like suede and denim. Knitwear came in every shape and size, bouncing from Irish cables to classic ribs to thinner, skin-baring patterns.

Bottoms oscillated between skirts and trousers, with the former having a particular focus on circle and A-line shapes. Loose-fitting shorts and wide-legged slacks were constructed using wool, satin, leather, velvet or flannel, making them the perfect base to be dressed up or down. Chic, matching sets that sported a shimmering sheen popped up throughout, offering a timeless and refined evening get-up. Mohair tuxedos reaffirmed the label’s unwavering commitment to clothes of the utmost luxury.

Looks were accessorised with shoes that felt neat and lightly collegial, with low-rise derbys and sturdy penny loafers poking out from under slouchy hemlines. Heels felt distinctly elegant, equipped with pointed toes and pin-prick stilts. Bags were understated, ready to be paired with anything while oversized, dangling earrings and elbow-brushing leather gloves were introduced as the perfect ingredient for boosting any subtle outfit.
