Brunello Cucinelli, the king of quiet luxury, celebrated his milestone birthday in the picturesque medieval hamlet of Solomeo last night. He invited his friends, industry leaders and notable names from across the globe to commemorate this landmark occasion.
The event was marked with a retrospective presentation of Brunello Cucinelli’s soft and sinuous looks from across the years. Guests sat in a classic Mediterranean amphitheatre in the heart of Solomeo under the warm embrace of dusk. Celebrations continued into the night in the Hamlet courtyard with a performance from Italian actors, Claudio Santamaria and Ilaria Genatiempo, who recited passages from Cantico No.4 of La Divina Commedial, followed with a candlelit dinner in the brisk evening air. All of this was framed by the gorgeous landscaping including cypress and olive trees and architectural features such as brick facades, stone masonry, and traditional shutter windows. You couldn’t get more Italian if you tried.
Prominent names from across the fashion, film and entertainment industries, that attended the festivities include The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby, Emily In Paris’s Ashley Park, Patrick Dempsey and culinary extraordinaire, Martha Stewart. Other significant names amongst models and socialites include Izabel Goulart, Candice Lake, Emma Thynn Marchioness of Bath and Pippa Vosper. All the A-listers arrived in opulent style.
The whole serene evening was compiled of Cucinelli’s visionary talent and extraordinary craftsmanship – a luxe legacy that his daughters, Camilla, creative director of womenswear and Carolina, co-president and co-creative director, will carry forward alongside him as they share their father’s concept for the brand and effortlessly understand its ethics and philosophies.
