Bottega Veneta: AW16 Menswear

Designers are obsessed with the notion of wardrobes – well they should be. Wardrobes are wear clothes end up, physically and ideologically. That’s where we pull our looks from. But real wardrobes are quite as luxurious as that of the Bottega Veneta man, with his succulent shot velvet suits, his loden and needlepunched plaid, and all that intricate intrecciato leather. And that was just this Autumn/winter 2016 collection, The odd thing, every season, is how easy Tomas Maier makes it look. Effortless, maybe. But with clothes as complex as these you know it takes a helluva lot of effort.
