Short, sexy, girly. That’s how Nicola Brognano describes his latest Blumarine collection, which sees the designer continue his revival of all things noughties. It’s safe to say Brognano has officially caught the Y2K bug, channeling the sexy glamour of 2000s pop stars into whispy chiffon wrap dresses, mischievous fake furs, and MTV-worthy satin combat trousers in sugary shades of pink.
Brognano’s sassy designs come peppered with irony, and prove to be big hits across Instagram – worn by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Hailey Bieber.
Whether its low-slung trousers with bedazzled butterfly belts, barely-there mini-dresses, or torso-hugging, lime green blazers, Blumarine is a gateway to forgetting your troubles and pretending you’re a 2000s heiress instead – making the perfect sort of garb for stumbling out of a club in, come July 19. Girls just wanna have fun, and they wanna be wearing Blumarine whilst doing it.
