BFC Announce Categories for 2016 British Fashion Awards

We love an excuse to dress up and act all fancy. Especially if there is also the opportunity to get pissed. So you can imagine our excitement when the categories for the British Fashion Awards 2016 were announced. We already know it will be an even more lavish affair than ever before, to be held at the Royal Albert Hall and in partnership with Swarovski (again). And now, we know the categories. Which could we win? Perhaps all of them. The awards are meant to celebrate the best fashion talent from the global fashion community, surely that includes us? The four British awards will be: British Menswear Designer of the Year, British Womenswear Designer of the Year, British Brand and Emerging Talent Award. Then there are the categories for both British and international candidates: Model of the Year, Ready-to-Wear Designer of the Year, Accessories Designer of the Year, Urban Luxury, Creative Influencer and Business Leader. And if that wasn’t enough there will be special recognition awards too including: Outstanding Achievement Award, Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, Special Recognition Award and SWAROVSKI Award for Positive Change. Last, but not least, let’s not forget my award: Fashion Icon. Voted for by the adoring public. We have got categories coming out of our ears. They did say it would be bigger and better than ever. So it may not be until Monday 5th December, but we have so much to prepare. Speeches, outfit changes, dance routines, the lot. So please do not disturb.
