Has Donatella been watching Spiceworld? Because her Atelier Versace show – kicking off the spring/summer 2016 couture season – was a bit posh, definitely sporty, occasionally scary. Running in heels, anyone?! There was nothing babyish about it though, rather a new wardrobe for the powerful and mature Versace woman. Athletic couture was the theme, hence that sport stuff, the slick spikey white futurism, the flashes of neon. And the undeniable energy.
