What better homecoming for Astrid Andersen to her home country of Denmark than to present her very first full women’s collection? That’s what she did at Copenhagen Fashion Week yesterday, following on from the success of the women’s launch at the men’s show in London last season. Fab to see the ladies be the centre of attention. Because we all know Astrid does luxe streetwear like no other, and this collection has all the classic ‘Astrids’ here reworked for the girls – a dash of Velvet, a handful of corduroy, and a sprinkle of fur. All the ingredients you need for an Astrid Anderson cake… err collection. Refreshing too to see a slightly sexy side to the Astrid ladies – the clothes give off a strength and hardness. A lady boss who rolls with the Astrid homies and doesn’t take no for an answer. Bitch better have my money.
