There’s an anarchic flair to the work of Anthony Turner. The esteemed hair stylist has lent his immense talents to fashion’s biggest players – Gucci, Prada and Dior included. You’ll regularly find him in the mastheads of the world’s leading magazines, too, where he is known to bring a gothic tinge to his wondrous work. Jagged, unapologetic and often drenched in peroxide hues, his punkish ’dos lean into subculture for inspiration. Teaming up here with photographer Wera Nowak, the pair look to American youth for inspiration, where cheerleaders collide with alt kids, as in the music video for Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit. Here they are now, entertain us.
