It’s A Fashionable FIFA World Cup

A World Cup summer is officially upon us. Kicking off with Mexico vs South Africa today in Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca at 8pm UK time, the 2026 FIFA World Cup is back again, this year being hosted across North America. 2026’s games are some of the most anticipated, with billions of fans around the world ready to tune in and support their chosen nations. Our support is international this season as we watch on for the footballer’s style authority. With some exciting fashion collaborations from England and Palace to Spain and Loewe, fashion and football are making a comeback. Pre-match tunnel fits, on-pitch boots, shorts and jerseys, and post-game celebration (or consolation) uniforms, read on to discover our favourite fashion collabs ahead of this year’s Cup.

LOEWE – SPAIN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM

Loewe’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez have partnered with Spain’s National Football Team to create a full suite of travel outfits for the men’s and women’s teams. Debuting this year, the collaboration will support the team over the next four years with tailoring, casual wear, shoes and leather goods. This pairing lands on the Spanish fashion house’s 180th anniversary.

Championing the house and the football team’s Spanish heritage, the collab matches the team’s energy and optimism with Loewe’s own drive for innovation. Crafted in a Madrilenian atelier, the navy suit features a subtle, embroidered Loewe anagram on the sleeve and a striking sky blue polo to pair. Catch Spain’s first game at the World Cup versus Cape Verde on June 15 in Atlanta, US.

LOUIS VUITTON – UNITY TIME OBJECT

Louis Vuitton is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of its partnership with Unicef by releasing the Unity Time Object, a football-inspired, one-of-a-kind timepiece. Reinterpreting the geometry of soccer ball through an openwork structure composed of interlocking hexagons and pentagons, this 1.03-carat diamond-studded, golden steel-structured football is now up for auction at Sotheby’s until June 18 – and just in time for the World Cup. What’s more, the Unity Time Object is presented in a bespoke trunk handcrafted in the historic workshops of Asnières-sur-Seine. In honour of the partnership, the proceeds from this auction will go to Unicef to support its humanitarian aid work.

PALACE SKATEBOARDS – ENGLAND NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM

Palace and Nike have linked up again, this time to design a capsule collection for England’s national football team for the World Cup. Focusing on the camaraderie within British football culture, the collection is introduced through a short film featuring football legends such as Wayne Rooney and Jill Scott. The film, as well as the collection, is a love letter to the sport and to the unity it fosters among Brits. Think pub gardens, kickabouts in the park and repping your favourite team’s jersey… perhaps Cool Britannia is making a comeback.

The pre-match kit will feature a Football Beyond Borders emblem, in recognition of both Team England’s and Nike’s dedication to youth engagement. Accompanied by a streetwear-inspired silver zip-up featuring the iconic three lions insignia, along with other pre-, during-, and post-game outfits, the collection will be available to purchase from June 12, just in time for England’s first match on the June 17 in Dallas, Texas.

HERMÈS – FRENCH NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM

The French National Football team seem to have a new favourite bag – the Hermès Haut à Courroies. Long are the days of pop star, fashion designer and WAG Victoria Beckham flashing her Birkin; that torch has now been passed down to the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Rayan Cherki and Ousmane Dembélé. These boys have been spotted carrying the Haut à Courroies ahead of France’s first game on June 16. A tasteful choice, this stylish carryall is also the first ever Hermès made.

Originally designed to carry equestrian boots and saddles, the trapezoidal bag is long and structured, making it perfect for carrying all the player’s footballing essentials across North America. Made from durable leather – sometimes with a toile front – the Haut à Courroies’ rising popularity among these French sportsmen signals, perhaps, a shift away from hype and a turn toward sophistication.

SLAWN – NIGERIA NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM

To rep Nigeria, Nike has partnered with Nigerian artist and designer Olaolu Slawn to create a full sports kit for fans and players alike. Known for his abstract expressionist graffiti works, Slawn is taking the world by storm. This partnership makes sense for the Lagos-born artist, who started his artistic career at the pioneering skate shop and streetwear brand Wafflesncream. Slawn’s foundation is in the merger of sport and style. To represent the Super Eagles, the kit features Slawn’s hand-drawn interpretation of the mascot’s wings across tops, jackets, shorts, trousers and shoes. Also co-branded with a Naija logo, the collab embraces contemporary Nigerian aesthetics. Continuing this Lagos-founded imagery, “Go Slawn Or Go Home” is branded across the screen at the end of the collab’s short film, which is set on a football pitch at a motorway intersection. If you wanna rep your love for Nigeria, Go Slawn and grab a kit for yourself.

VIRGIL ABLOH ARCHIVE – USA MEN’S NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM

Team USA are channelling vintage Americana with Nike and the Virgil Abloh Archive. The red, white and blue football kits feature bold graphics inspired by the late Virgil Abloh’s visual legacy, resulting in a clean design that reinterprets nostalgic American style. Posh polos, shell jackets, and sweat-wicking tops have that preppy collegiate look with an added air of Abloh’s deconstructed style. This unmistakable style is also perfectly applied to the Zoom M9 football boots. With iconic quotation marks and sleek typography, these cleats are an ode to American footballer Mia Hamm and her historic World Cup performance in the ‘90s. Support Team USA this summer and stay up late for their first game on the June 13 in LA at 2am UK time.
