10 Acts To See At Lido Festival

While your summer calendar might be already filling up with sunkissed weekends abroad, birthdays in beer gardens and weddings (seriously, no more getting married in August, we don’t have any annual leave left), a three-dayer you should have on the agenda is Lido festival. After debuting last June with a stellar stream of headliners including Massive Attack, Jamie xx and Charli xcx in peak Brat summer mode, the Victoria Park festival returns. Taking place June 12-14, here are 10 artists performing across the weekend that you definitely don’t want to be missing.

CMAT

Anyone who caught CMAT’s Glastonbury set last summer will know any chance to see this Irish talent live should be acted upon. It’s been a knockout year for the Dublin-born star, who has toured the world with her latest album Euro-Country, which has received both a Mercury Prize and an Ivor Novello Award nomination. CMAT’s Lido headline slot on Friday night will be her biggest show to date, and her only London gig this summer.

BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB

This one’s for the indies. The London quartet will be playing their beloved 2009 album I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose in full Sunday night to mark 20 years since they formed, Those getting down to Viccy Park early will also get to see the band perform their acoustic album Flaws, as well. Two Bombay sets in one day, what a treat.

KELIS

This is a woman who needs no introduction. Icon. Legend. Total powerhouse. Expect the biggest hits from the New Yorker’s back catalogue as well as deep cuts for the die-hard Kelis stans out there.

MARIBOU STATE

Dropping their first album in seven years, Hallucinating Love, in January, duo Chris Davids and Liam Ivory will be bringing their live show to Lido as Saturday night’s headliners. After months of touring the world, this will be one of the band’s biggest live shows to date.

SHARON VAN ETTEN & THE ATTACHMENT THEORY

Previously doing it alone, singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten decided to join a band for her latest record. Cue The Attachment Theory, a rag-tag crew of musicians who have helped pivot Van Etten’s sound into a more gothic territory. Catch them Friday.

METRONOMY

The Bombay boys aren’t the only band celebrating their 20th anniversary. Fellow indie darlings Metronomy brought in their big bday last September with a greatest hits compilation featuring a slew of bangers like Everything Goes My Way and Love Letters. They’ll play their only UK and European gig Sunday afternoon.

FOLAMOUR

Saturday’s Lido goers will be treated to a set by French DJ and producer Folamour. The Marseille-born talent is set to bring his signature blend of disco, house and funk to a fingers crossed sunshine-filled afternoon.

BEVERLY GLENN-COPELAND AND ELIZABETH COPELAND

Beverly Glenn-Copeland is currently touring the world with his wife, Elizabeth Copeland. The revered musician, who’s 81 and has found a cult following in the last decade, is set to perform cuts from his latest album Laughter In Summer, the first album he has put out since his dementia diagnosis in 2023.

FATHER JOHN MISTY

Father John Misty fans rejoice! Certified king of the sad banger is back with new music, dropping his single The Old Law in January, with a new album expected at some point later this year. This is Misty’s only UK date announced so far.

THEO PARRISH B2B MOODYMANN

It’s rare to get two dance music of this calibre together on one stage. As part of Maribou State’s curation, Detroit legends Moodymann and Theo Parrish will go b2b in what is set to be a masterclass, genre-bending set. Don’t sleep on this one.
