Hermès: Ready-To-Wear AW26

Nadège Vanhée took us to the twilight zone, inspired by the violet hour when the afternoon transitions to evening hour. The light, the sense of change and possibility all fed into her collection. The question of female agency is always on her mind. The Hermès woman she designs for is out-going and adventurous, and the designer imagined her enjoying a twilight walk. Her models strode out in clothes made for movement. Jodhpurs tucked into thigh high flat riding boots, knit cycling shorts, little leather A-line skirts and quilted biker dresses, and leather and knit jump suits all created a dynamic sense of freedom. This was activewear, Hermès style – finely crafted in exquisite materials.

Biker elements appeared throughout: leather coats and jackets with asymmetric zips snaked, seductively across the body. Biker style frock coats had plenty of swagger and hybrid biker macs, took the idea of practical dressing to the next level. Vanhée is all about empowering the women who wear her exceptional clothes, giving them choices and options so they can make her designs their own. She builds in the ability to adapt a look to suit the occasion or mood. Coats came with removable shearling collars and the zippers on skirts and jackets allow you to conceal and reveal as much or as little as you wish.
