Footwear Finds: Jimmy Choo x Conner Ives Gloria Capsule

Welcome to the jungle. Jimmy Choo and Conner Ives have teamed up once again, this time on a capsule that roars with animal print and attitude. First spotted on Ives’ AW25 runway, the new drop takes two archival Choo icons – the Agathe boot and its mule cousin – and reimagines them as the Gloria Knee Boot 85 and Gloria Mule 85. The reference? Gloria Guinness, one of Truman Capote’s “Swans” and an all-round fashion siren.

It’s major outing in a long list of collabs between the duo, who first collaborated during the SS24 season. Since then, their partnership has settled into a rhythm: Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo’s creative director, brings the footwear know-how, while Ives – ever nostalgic for a remix of Americana – layers in his love of story and print. The result? Zebra and cheetah pony leather uppers, squared toes, 85mm heels and a confidence that feels unapologetically late-‘90s.

“I’ve always been obsessed with zebra print,” Ives says in a press release. “And cheetah felt like a nice compliment.” Choi calls the partnership “bold, intelligent and deeply personal,” highlighting the synergy between Choo’s glam heritage and Ives’ next-gen vision.

With the capsule now available online and in flagship stores worldwide, expect the boots and mules to slip straight into the wardrobes of the bold and the nightlife-inclined. In Ives’ words: animal print is a “neutral” – and with Jimmy Choo on board, it’s also a power move.
