A joint birthday bash is double the fun!
This year we’re not the only ones celebrating our big 25th birthday. All American label John Varvatos is bringing in its silver anniversary in style. How is the brand marking the occasion, you ask. By doing what it’s always done: creating pristine, tailored clothing laced with rock ’n’ roll spirit.
To mark the launch of the brand’s AW25 collection, on Saturday night we held a cocktail event at the Jon Varvatos London flagship on Conduit Street. It was the first chance the label’s loyal clientele got to shop this season’s stand out pieces. Designed by Karl Aberg, the brand’s latest offering is a feast of slender pinstripe suits, relaxed shirting, shaggy faux furs, and jeans sprinkled with the subtlest of sparkle.
Guests included the models Ava Kalitowski, Reuben Larkin, Sam Finch and Dell Winder, the singer Frankie Bridge and the athlete Christian Bordin.
After browsing the collection, guests made their way down into the store’s basement which is modelled after a New York dive bar, for an explosive performance from London band King Nun. The fivesome through cuts from their debut album Lamb, all clad in looks from the latest John Varvatos collection, fishing with a ferocious cover of The Stooges’ I Wanna Be Your Dog. Cheers to you, John Varvatos, we can’t wait to see what the next 25 years bring.
