SRVC: Ready-To-Wear AW25

SRVC’s decided to take to the skies yesterday, opting for the dizzying heights of the 34th floor of London’s BT Tower for its AW25 catwalk – the first brand ever to do so. A considered choice to showcase the Ricky Wesley Harriott-helmed brand’s goal of communicating through clothes, what unfolded within the glass rotunda show space was an incisive investigation of how fashion can help you defend yourself against the relenting demands of everyday life.

Themed on the idea of clothes as armour, pieces were functional but subversive, encouraging challenge rather than blind acceptance. The cuts felt defiant, with the term “power suit” feeling very apt for the sharply sculpted blazers and trousers that peppered the womenswear. Shirts were constructed from upcycled boxers giving it a masculine edge too. Military knits were cut up and restructured, nodding to adaptability, whilst unexpected graphics like a reimagined Tottenham Hotspur insignia, which instead opted for the phrase “Tottenham Hotgirls”, embraced the idea of community and sisterhood. It was an expressive, powerful and a considered exploration of the power of clothes.
